Work right now is the absolute pits. It’s been busy all year with all that’s gone on and coming up to Xmas it’s somehow getting even busier. This just reminds me of work a little as no matter how much effort goes in to clearing each day there’s still some way “the man” will find to kick me in the bollocks.

This song, this version. It touches me so deep inside my soul it hurts. But in the nice kind of way. More heart and passion than a midfield pair of Mark Noble and Lee Cattermole. His voice at 1m34s and 3m29s ❤️

I totally bummed jj for a few months way back when. Then I didn’t listen to them for a while. Then I remembered them and checked out their new stuff and like most bands the majority of it sucked balls. This one didn’t though. The guitar sounds. Ooooof

A friend from way back in the day was in a band, he killed himself. But this song is one that I definitely think he’d have liked and done a kick arse job of covering and it makes me think of him and it’s kind of nice.

Have been reacquainted with Squeeze recently and I never realised how much I liked them. Probably because this was the first song of theirs I truly loved and so just assumed, along with the Jools Holland connection, that they were just some sort of novelty band. And fun fact for you all, when you could first have your own music as a ringtone, this was mine for a very long time.
